Rates

Rates vary depending of the complexity of the illustration. Here are some estimates (these are examples only; rate may be different depending on project specifications):

  • Simple Line Illustration ($50-$150 per illustration)

  • Complex Line Illustration ($150-250 per illustration)

  • Black and White Shaded Illustration ($150-350 per illustration)

  • Color Shaded Illustration ($200-$800)

Major Projects:

I can do a discount on images if there is a project that requires several illustrations. This depends heavily on the complexity of the images and how many can have elements that can be re-used. For this pricing, I need a detailed list of all illustrations in the project.

Additional costs:

There is an additional cost for full copyright ownership transfer. This price varies depending on usage and complexity of the piece.

I can do rush jobs as well, but there will be an additional cost depending on the complexity of the piece and how fast it needs to be completed.

There will also be an additional cost for any major edits that are requested by client after the image has been finalized.

Policy on Edits

After the project has been approved, I will send clients an initial sketch to approve. After this, I will complete the image and send them a final illustration to approve (unless I have questions during the construction of the final illustration). There are no additional costs for major edits at the initial sketching stage nor for minor edits in the final stage. However, there will be additional costs for any major edits required after the initial sketch has been approved by the client.

I highly encourage clients to make sure the initial sketch is exactly what they’re looking for before they approve it. If they have any questions or concerns, I urge them to let me know before I begin the final illustration. I want to make sure my clients are getting the perfect illustration, so I am always happy to discuss any concerns, questions, or changes necessary to get what they need.

If I have made an illustration for the client before and they wish to make an iteration of that illustration, I’m happy to give a discounted price rather than the full price. This only applies to illustrations I have already done for the client; I will not edit illustrations others have done.

The more details I have (including visual examples, if possible), the faster I can give you an exact quote. If you are working within a budget, I’m happy to discuss that with you and see what I can produce within your price range.
